Pack list
What to bring
Narrow, twisty, fun. Patch kits and hard cases recommended.
Personal flotation device (PFD)
Required by law. On the narrow Huzzah you will tip — a PFD is non-negotiable.
Water shoes — not flip flops
Rocky bottom and frequent exits to clear log jams. Closed-toe shoes that stay on your feet.
Heavy duty vinyl patch kit
The Huzzah is notorious for submerged rocks and branches that pop cheap tubes and rafts. Pack a patch kit.
Waterproof hard case for keys and phone
Tight turns mean tipping is common. Keys and phone need to be in a hard waterproof case, tethered to you.
Water gun or water blaster tube
Social bottlenecks at root wads are where the Huzzah gets legendary. Come prepared.
Waterproof floating Bluetooth speaker
The Huzzah Junction tailgate scene runs on music. Get one that floats.
Dry bag (20L)
Keep phones, wallets, and valuables dry — you will likely flip at least once.
Can coozie with neck strap
Hands-free cooling for the social bottlenecks.
Mineral sunscreen SPF 50 (river-safe)
No shade on a narrow river. Mineral zinc oxide formulas are safer for the Huzzah ecosystem.
